Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS)

Pacific Community Resources Society provides more than 40 programs (from Vancouver to Chilliwack) that focus on alternate education, employment, addiction counselling and prevention services, housing search support, and cultural enrichment for children, youth, adults and families. PCRS is committed to community-based research, advocacy and community development to identify service gaps and strategies to address social problems such as poverty, child abuse, mental health, substance abuse, violence and homelessness.

PCRS has Youth Employment Resource Centres (locations in Vancouver, New Westminster and Surrey) that provide employment and life skills programs for unemployed or underemployed youth. PCRS has a particular program in Surrey - Immigrant Outreach Program - that targets youth aged 15 to 25 who live in Surrey, North Delta and Langley. They provide youth with ESL assessments, training and job skills goal setting as well as translation and interpretation. The Vietnamese Youth Program in Vancouver provides similar support.
