At Douglas College, Skills Connect for Immigrants participants receive:

- Individual assistance and ongoing support
- Introductions to employers in your field
- Courses to improve your qualifications

The programs helps immigrants find employment in their field of expertise.

Participants meet with experienced Career Consultants for on-going meetings and workshops. Career development workshops provide hands-on exercises and role-plays which prepare participants to network with employers and make connections in the community. In addition, staff help participants prepare 'leads lists', customized resumes and cover letters to ensure that job search and interview skills are up to date.
