The North Shore Women's Centre actively addresses violence against women at all levels of the community by providing women with access to resources (information, referrals, advocacy) to assist them with important life choices. They offer emergency food and other items, a library with computer access, and a resource centre that helps women find information on jobs, housing, support and counselling. They also have computer training programs, Family Law legal clinics, workshops on women's health and other related topics, and a girl's group program. Support groups are available for lesbian and bi-sexual woman as well as single moms.
