Lookout North Shore Shelter provides emergency and transitional housing to North Shore adults over 18 who have no other housing options. They offer 45 short-term, emergency shelter beds and 25 co-located, transitional housing suites for up to two years. Staff address housing, financial, and mental/physical health and addiction issues through crisis intervention, case planning, and referral/liaison services. Clients must call first, or be referred. There is 24-hour staffing, meals are provided, it is wheelchair accessible and pets are welcome. The Homeless Outreach Program provides advocacy support, referrals, and housing search assistance for people who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or difficult to house.
