Burnaby Family Life is an accredited agency, with highly trained, caring, and trusted professionals who provide quality services and opportunities for families and individuals, in all their diversity, to help them reach their full potential. Services include: Pre & Postnatal Support, Family Life & Parenting Education, Cross-Cultural Relations, Childcare & Children's Programs, Groups for Women Survivors, Community Building, and Life Skills & Counselling (specifically for women survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, as well as for children who witness abuse). Burnaby Family Life is one of the consortium agencies involved with creating the Step Ahead Project. The other agencies are MOSAIC, Immigrant Services Society, DIVERSEcity and SUCCESS. Step Ahead is designed to assist refugees and immigrants who are facing multiple challenges to their settlement. The hallmark of Step Ahead is mobile outreach, using a case management approach.
