ACT2 Child and Family Services has a proud tradition of providing specialized services to children, youth and families since 1980. Using a variety of therapeutic, educational, and consciousness-raising approaches, they deliver a range of programs which strive to provide quality services for women, children, and families dealing with issues of domestic violence, child physical and sexual abuse, and sexual behaviour problems.

ACT2 remains committed to education, consultation, and prevention, in addition to their direct service approaches. While most referrals to Act 2's programs come from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), they have a contract with the MCFD that allows community access. People can access their programs by: (1) Self referral - still sponsored by the MCFD; or (2) Family counselling services linked to a fee for services.

For Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra, they offer Clinical Counselling for children, youth and their families who typically present with complex and severe symptoms, behaviours or issues as a result of trauma/abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, related mental health issues, or other family concerns; Sexual Abuse Disabilities Counselling for disabled children and adolescents who have been sexually abused; Sexual Abuse Counselling - Community Access for children, adolescents and their families where a child and/or youth has been sexually abused and where the alleged abuser does not live in the same household, the parent/ guardian is acting appropriately to protect the child/ youth, and there are no other child protection concerns; and SHIFT - Sexual Behaviours Treatment Program for children, adolescents and their families where the child/youth is exhibiting inappropriate sexualized behaviours.

They also offer 2nd Stage Transition Housing in Vancouver for Women and their children escaping violence, as well as a Family Program in Surrey for Parents of children 0 - 6 years of age.
